इस अमल में बड़ा डर लगता है तथा डरावनी घटनाएं सामने आती है। इसलिए आमिल को निडर होना चाहिए उसका ईमान होना चाहिए की खुदा के सिवा उसे कोई क्षति नहीं पहुंचा सकता। आमिल को हर समय पाक साफ व रोजे नमाज का पाबंद रहना चाहिए।
अमल का तरीका यह है कि आबादी से बहार किसी पाक स्थान पर घेरा खींचकर खुशबू आदि सुलगाएं और ईशा की नमाज़ के बाद सात बार सुरः जिन्न और १६० बार सुरः मुजम्मिल पढ़े। शुरू व अंत में दरूद शरीफ जितनी बार पढ़ सकता हो पढ़ना चाहिए। इसी तरह ४० दिन बिना नागा के यह सिलसिला रहना चाहिए। इन ४० दिनों में रोज़े रखे जाएँ तो बेहतर है। ४० वे दिन आमिल को ऐसा मालूम होगा कि वह चारों ओर से भयानक व दरिंदो और खुनी चेहरों वाले इंसानों के घेरे में फंस गया है और अब उसकी जान की खैर नहीं।
ऐसी स्थिति में यदि आमिल डरेगा तो जान से जाएगा या फिर सख्त शारीरिक क्षति उठाएगा यदि आमिल निडर रहा तो रात गुजरने के बाद सुबह सवेरे जिन्नों का बादशाह अपने साथियों के साथ हाज़िर होगा और तलबी का कारण पूछेगा और फिर हमेशा के लिए आमिल का गुलाम बन जायेगा बशर्तें कि आमिल की नियत नेक हो।
